While the band has been around since the early 90’s, this is my introduction to Blonde Redhead. It’s got that mystic enough quality with some interesting instrumentation that reminds me of Stereolab, yet it’s a little (okay, a LOT) more accessible. The production is top notch–you can’t beat an album that’s mixed this well. Lead singer Kazu Makino‘s silky voice glides over the tracks with some great stereo effects to boot. Highly recommended!
